Religion is the Poop in my Soup.

Help!  There’s Poop in my Soup!

If you’ve found this page, then you know what I’m talking about:  I’m talking about all of the bullshit that we’ve all been eating for far too long.  We’ve been spoon-fed lies on top of lies, meant to make us feel powerless, small, guilty, ashamed, controlled, and worthless.

Yep, it’s the bullshit called religion.  In my case, it was Christianity.  Any other religion fits the bill too:  it’s all a bunch of poop.

If you’re new:  my condolences (not really) and congratulations!  The first step in spitting all the poop out, sorting the lies, and brushing, rinsing, and flossing your brain is to look for TRUTH and KNOWLEDGE.

Any religious person knows that knowledge gained from any source that isn’t from the bible (or other religious text) has to be looked at from a very discerning angle.  The religious text of choice is the measuring stick…does other information line up with it?  If the answer is no, then here’s what you should do:  throw away your religious text and use your brain, your common sense, intuition, and reasoning skills.

The initial feelings of discovering poop in your soup…confusion, disappointment, sadness, anger, fear…they do ultimately lead to feelings of elation, freedom, happiness, determination, and hope.  If you need help getting there, this blog is for you.  For those of you who have questions, who are feeling uncertain, confused…for those who need real facts and truth, resources, a place to belong, and healing from religious abuse…this is for you.  We were there once too, and can tell you that it gets better!  You don’t have to spend the rest of your life eating the shit that’s being fed to you.  Ask questions, give yourself permission to find the truth, and stop feeling guilty for feeling this way.  No one wants to find poop in their soup, and you shouldn’t feel badly about wanting something else.
